Episode 8: Language School Founder

Biography

Silja van Teijlingen is founder and manager of a language school. She studied Scandinavian Studies and Media Culture Studies in Cologne and Aarhus. After finishing her studies, she moved to Leipzig, where she worked as a freelance German teacher. Together with a friend, she then founded the language school ‚Sprachschule Paroli‘ in Leipzig in 2018, in which students not only learn German, but also explore Leipzig’s cultural scene with the school staff at their side. Today she manages the school and is still teaching ‚German as a foreign language‘ there.
