From Cologne Central Station

Buy the ticket 1b from one of the KVB ticket machines.

Take the subway/tram line 16 in the direction of Wesseling/Bonn-Bad Godesberg or line 18 in the direction of Klettenberg/Brühl/Bonn to the stop Neumarkt, from there take subway/tram line 9 in the direction of Sülz to the stop Universität. 

The ride takes approximately 20 minutes.

It takes about five minutes to walk to the Philosophikum where we are located.  

A taxi from Cologne Central Station to the university costs approximately 15 €.

From Cologne Trade Fair/Deutz (Köln Messe/Deutz)

Buy the ticket 1b from one of the KVB ticket machines.

Take subway/tram line 9 in the direction of Sülz to the stop Universität.

 It takes about five minutes to walk to the Philosophikum where we are located.

A taxi from Köln Messe/Deutz to the university costs approximately 20 €.

From Düsseldorf International Airport

Arrival at Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS):

Buy the ticket 1b at one of the DB-automats.

Take the overhead railway “SkyTrain” to the Düsseldorf Airport train station. Connect with a regional train (e.g. RegionalExpress 1 or 5) or an intercity/intercity express (IC/ICE) to Cologne Central Station. The direct connection takes about 40 minutes. 

From Cologne Central Station, take the subway/tram lines 16 or 18 to the stop Neumarkt, from there take subway/tram line 9 in the direction “Sülz” to the stop University

It takes about five minutes to walk to the Philosophikum.

A taxi ride costs about 25 € (approx. 20 km).

 Arrival at Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN)

Buy the ticket 1b at one of the DB-automats.

Take either the S-Bahn line S13 (20-minute intervals), a regional train or an intercity/intercity express (IC/ICE) to Cologne Central Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. 

From Cologne Central Station, take the subway/tram lines 16 or 18 to the stop Neumarkt, from there take subway/tram line 9 in the direction “Sülz” to the stop University

It takes about five minutes to walk to the Philosophikum.
