Biography

Paul Berf is a literary translator. He studied Scandinavian Studies, German Studies as well as English Studies in Cologne and Uppsala. He worked for several years as a research assistant at the Department for Scandinavian and Finnish Studies at the University of Cologne. During his studies he started translating texts and is now self-employed. He mainly translates novels and poetry from Swedish, Norwegian and Danish into German. He translated known authors like Karl Ove Knausgård, Henning Mankell, Aris Fioretos, Lars Kepler, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Selma Lagerlöf, Kjell Westö and many more.
